The Catalan club have stepped up their interest to sign Sevilla in-form forward Kevin Gameiro in the summer, El Mundo Deportivo have revealed.
Building up on their own reports from last month, the Spanish publication claim that Barcelona chiefs have prepared an offer worth €20 million and Alen Halilovic’s signature that would soften the deal for the Sevilla hot-shot.
The Croatian talent is reportedly aware he will have plenty of trouble securing a place in the first team at Barca in the near future and would welcome the transfer to Sevilla, where he will be given a chance to fight for trophies and to play European football.
Alen Halilovic has already spoken with Ivan Rakitic who has informed the youngster of his former club Sevilla and former Dinamo Zagreb pearl has reportedly accepted the proposal.
Barcelona sports director Roberto Fernandez watched Gameiro in action once again this weekend as the French striker bagged a goal in the 2-1 loss to Valencia.
The 28-year-old forward has so far netted 15 La Liga goals in 21 league appearances.
