According to a recent report from AS, Barcelona and Real Madrid will both attempt to sign Virgil van Dijk if they are able to bring in Jurgen Klopp as their club’s new manager. In order to secure the services of the Dutchman they would need to put forward a world record bid, which should hardly come as much of a surprise given the kind of season he has had. It doesn’t seem as if he’s all too interested in the idea of leaving Anfield just yet, but if Klopp goes and if the Reds are unable to replicate the success of last season, then it could be something he looks into.
The pace of English football’s top tier is often considered to be too much for a lot of defenders but when it comes to van Dijk, he just can’t get enough of it. He would almost certainly run the show in La Liga regardless of who he might sign for, and that’s just the way it is.
