Barcelona rekindle interest in Ousmane Dembele

Catalan daily newspaper Sport has learned that Barcelona are weighing up a new assault on Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele.

The Catalans have been closely monitoring the youngster’s performances last season and they were hoping to lure him to Camp Nou in the near future.

But, with Neymar now set to join Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona could step up their interest in Dembele earlier than planned.

The sporting department at Camp Nou is still debating whether the Frenchman has the quality to perform at the highest level, so it is by no means certain that the Catalans will submit official proposal.

The good news is that with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang likely to stay at Signal-Iduna Park, Borussia Dortmund might consider selling the France international.

Ousmane Dembele, 20, enjoyed a brilliant debut season with the Millionaires, scoring 10 goals and producing 21 assists in 49 appearances.
