Barcelona are set to launch a fresh assault on Chelsea defender David Luiz, according to Catalan newspaper Sport.
The Catalans had made the Brazilian one of their primary targets in the summer, but they eventually failed to reach an agreement with the Blues.
And even with Jose Mourinho still reluctant to sell Luiz to Barcelona, the player’s desire to move to Camp Nou could persuade the club chiefs to let him leave.
With Luiz losing his place in the side at Stamford Bridge and the Catalans constantly showing interest in his services, it appears he has decided to try and engineer a move to Spain.
The 26-year-old has fallen behind John Terry and Gart Cahill in the pecking order and only managed 5 Premier League appearances this term.
Meanwhile, Chelsea slipped further behind leaders Arsenal after losing to Stoke and are now priced at 7/2 to lift the Premier League title.
