According to a recent report from Marca, Spanish giants Barcelona have ruled out the possibility of a move for Antoine Griezmann. A potential deal being struck between Barca and Atletico Madrid for the Frenchman has been a popular source for discussion over the course of the last few years, with Antoine outright stating last summer that he was going to stay with Atletico. Barcelona have apparently moved on from the possibility of bringing him in, focusing their attention on a series of other top forwards.
Barcelona certainly don’t have a shortage of attacking options, but that’s never stopped them from stacking the deck before. Griezmann is still a hot commodity and he’s still one of the world’s best footballers, and such a reputation could quite easily see Barca come back around one day.
There’s no guarantee of that but both parties quite clearly have some kind of attachment to this deal still, even a year or so later.
