The Catalan heavyweights are inching closer to signing a talented 19-year-old Brazilian Vitao, according to the reports coming from Marca.
The Spanish publication insists Barcelona are edging closer to a deal with yet another highly talented youngster, claiming that club officials are in the process of finalizing the details of the transfer with Vitao’s parent club Palmeiras.
Vitao will first join the Barcelona B side where he would be gaining much-needed experience and getting used to the Spanish football. He could also be loaned out for the 2019/20 season.
The player himself is already in Barcelona where he’s expected to sign all the necessary papers, while Barcelona are looking to add another Palmeiras player, Candido, into a combined deal worth €20 million.
Barcelona have long been acquiring prodigious players from South America and moves for Vitao and Candido go in line with their intent of rejuvenating the current squad and investing for the future.
