Barcelona have stepped up their efforts towards a potential signing of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, according to Sport.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has been attracting strong attention from top clubs across Europe with superb displays both for his club and country, with reports mentioning the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and the two Premier League clubs from Manchester.
Barcelona are currently shaping their plans for next season, and Havertz is apparently a big part of them. They are aware that under such circumstances he won’t come cheap – they believe they’ll have to part with a sum around €100 million, but they will do what they can to bring him to the Camp Nou. They sent scouts to watch him play in the game his team won 2-1 against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, and they weren’t disappointed. There is very little doubt in their minds that he will soon become one of the best players in the world.
