Barcelona still want Griezmann

According to a recent report from Marca, Barcelona are once again considering the possibility of a move for Antoine Griezmann. Last season there was a great deal of speculation as to whether or not the Frenchman would make the move from Atletico Madrid to the Nou Camp, but in the end, he decided to stay put. This time around, though, Barca are even more determined to bring him over – and they could have picked the perfect time to do it.

Griezmann’s release clause is set to go down from €200 million to €120 million at the start of July, which could obviously mean a much cheaper deal for Barca. Antoine himself is also said to be interested in the deal, meaning that we could be seeing one of the summer’s big moves go down much sooner than many of us could’ve anticipated.

Either way, we can expect this to be one of the big stories over the next few months.
