Barcelona still want Martinez

According to a recent report from Sport, Barcelona are looking at Lautaro Martinez as a realistic target for them heading into the summer.

The belief is that Barca will indeed battle it out with Manchester City over the signing of Erling Haaland, but that isn’t going to be their only priority. They know and understand that Martinez hasn’t always lined up perfectly as a target for them, but they’re willing to keep their options open prior to the summer transfer window opening.

Martinez has consistently made a strong name for himself at Inter Milan in the last few years and Barca have been paying attention moreso than most. Whether that translates to them putting in the kind of bid or offer that’s going to blow Inter away is a completely different matter but we think they’re in with a chance.

If for no other reason than this one – it’s Barcelona.
