Barcelona still want Martinez

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez is still believed to be a primary target for Barcelona during the upcoming summer transfer window – with the report noting that he is their preferred man to replace the outgoing Luis Suarez.

Uruguay international Suarez is reaching the final few years of his career as a world class forward, and it’s been public knowledge for quite some time now that Barca would be interested in getting rid of him. When it comes to who is coming in, that’s been a source of great discussion amongst fans and pundits alike for months.

Martinez has been a name who has been regularly linked with the switch, but few have been able to confirm whether or not it was likely. Now, Barcelona could well be preparing to put all of their eggs in his basket ahead of what is bound to be a hectic transfer window.
