Highly-rated Olympique Lyonnais teenager Houssem Aouar has emerged as a transfer target for La Liga heavyweights Barcelona.
The 19-year-old French youth international hit the headlines this season with a string of impressive displays for the French outfit.
Aouar made 11 league starts this season already, impressing at the center of the park but in an attacking midfield position towards the left wing as well.
Having been introduced to the first team as a replacement for Sergi Darder following his summer departure to Espanyol, Houssem Aouar grabbed a firm hold of a given opportunity and is excelling for Lyon.
His fine performances have not gone unnoticed and French media outlet L’Equipe report that it is Barcelona who have set sights on the talented midfielder.
La Liga leaders are said to be monitoring the situation over a possible move at the end of the current season.
