Barcelona are weighing up move for Liverpool defender Daniel Agger, according to Spanish daily AS.
The Catalans have been attempting to recruit a high-profile centre-back ever since the start of the summer transfer window, but without any success.
And after their long-term target Thiago Silva signed a new contract at Parc des Princes, the Catalans have decided to step up their interest in Daniel Agger.
The 28-year-old should be available on a cut-price deal seeing as how his contract expires in a year’s time and he would certainly increase competition for places at Camp Nou.
Agger is reportedly keen on joining the Catalans, meaning all that’s left is for the La Liga side to reach an agreement over the transfer fee with Liverpool.
The Denmark international has spent no less than seven and a half years at Anfield, making a total of 155 Premier League appearances and scoring 7 goals.
