OGC Nice’s Jean Michael Seri is a man who has attracted a lot of interest in the run up to the January transfer window, with Arsenal reported to be the highest profile club interested in the midfielder. That has changed this week however as Catalan super club Barcelona and French giants PSG are suggested to have entered the fray with regards to securing the 26-year old’s services, according to the Mirror.
Seri has become a hugely significant player within Lucien Favre’s Nice team, scoring seven goals and registering nine assists last season in Ligue 1. The Ivorian international is a talented and versatile midfielder, possessing pace, power, a decent range of passing and a keen eye for goal.
It is little surprise that the midfielder’s exploits have earned him plaudits, and he now appears to have the choice between Arsenal, Barcelona and PSG. The Gunners will need an Ozil shaped hole filling in their midfield, so Seri would be likely to secure significant game time. However it remains to be seen which team offers the most appeal for the Nice star.
