Uruguay defender Santiago Bueno has arrived in Barcelona to complete his move from Clu Atletico Penarol.
The highly-rated 18-year-old defender is coming to Spain on the back of the South American Youth Football Championship trophy-winning campaign to realise his dream move to the Catalan club.
Described as a perfect combination of Gerrard Pique and Diego Godin’s qualities, Santiago Bueno is tipped to make a great career in Europe and to become a future star for the Camp Nou club.
Bueno arrived in Barcelona on Wednesday night and is expected to go through detailed medical examinations before he puts pen to paper on a Barcelona deal, the Mundo Deportivo has reported.
The talented Uruguay international will sign a deal until 2019, with option to be extended for three more seasons.
Santiago Bueno will join Barcelona Juvenil A setup to get himself familiar with the club and to settle in before he gets a chance to be added to the first-team.
