Barcelona have done a lot of business in the past few years on the transfer market but it rarely seems like they are finding the right fits for their team. Last summer, a lot of cash was splashed on Antoine Griezmann, but this year they could be going for another pricey attacker, according to some sources.
Mundo Deportivo are now reporting that Barcelona are considering whether to make a move for Timo Werner from RB Leipzig or Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan. The Catalan giants have reportedly shown interest in both strikers, but it could expected that Werner would be the cheaper option for them right now. Apparently, Barca are still not happy with their attackers – and do not forget they have Philippe Coutinho on loan at Bayern.
RB Leipzig expect to get around 60 million euros for Werner, whereas Lautaro’s price would be 111 million euros. Plus, there is the fact other clubs are also interested in this attacking duo.
