Barcelona intend to include Philippe Coutinho in their offer to Paris Saint-Germain for the return of Neymar, according to Sport.
Coutinho is currently on a season-long loan at Bayern Munich, and at the end of the season the Bavarians will have the option to make the deal permanent if they wish, for €120 million. However, that scenario is becoming unlikelier each week, with Coutinho recently criticized publicly by Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, as well as CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Barcelona are obviously desperate to get Neymar back after they were shocked by his demand to join PSG in 2017, desperate to prove to the football world that playing at Camp Nou hasn’t lost its appeal as the ultimate desire of top stars. They tried to make it happen last summer, but the Ligue 1 champions wouldn’t hear of it. They also appear aware that spending €160m to prize Coutinho from Liverpool in January 2018 was a huge mistake.
