Barcelona were credited with interest in bringing Dani Olmo back to the club from RB Leipzig early in the summer transfer window, but as revealed by the player himself, it happened ‘too quickly’, the wasn’t time for him to think it out, and the move did not materialize. Apparently, the Catalans were willing to take the winger on loan with an obligation to buy, and whole transfer would’ve seen Leipzig cash in around €75 million.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are prepared to try again in January, but this time they will have to find a way around the reluctance of the Bundesliga side to do a deal that would see them lose a very important player in the middle of the season.
As for Olmo, he is believed to be delighted with the idea of returning to the club where he once trained as a youngster, and Barcelona are in regular contact with his representatives.
