The Calatan giants Barcelona are not ready to end their pursuit of Brazil midfielder Paulinho.

After seeing Guangzhou reject their initial bid of €20 million, the La Liga heavyweights are preparing an improved offer for the 28-year-old according to the Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.

Brazilian defensive midfielder Paulinho has been identified as one of the top summer transfers for Barcelona new boss Ernesto Valverde who is looking for recruitments in the centre of the park.

Aside from Paulinho, Barcelona have also registered interest in Real Betis hot-shot Dani Ceballos. The Spanish Under-21 international midfielder is thought to be on the verge of signing for Real Madrid, but Barcelona are believed to be trying to steal a deal in front of their rival’s noses.

Marco Verratti from PSG remains the long-term target but the French giants are not ready to budge and remain determined to hold on to the Italy international.

As for Paulinho, the Brazilian has been in China since 2015, having arrived to Guangzhou in a transfer worth €15 million.
