Spanish and European champions Barcelona are plotting a bid for Arsenal star performer Mesut Ozil in the summer, according to Spanish publication As.
The Catalans are willing to pair up their MSN trio with the German international at the end of the season and are planning to offer up to three players in exchange for the 27-year-old.
Barcelona’s technical director is aware of Arsenal’s interest for Arda Turan, Munir El Haddadi and Sandro so the Catalans are hoping to persuade Arsene Wenger to let go of his key performer.
This scenario will also help Barcelona go around Real Madrid, who have inserted a first option buy-back clause in a deal with the London-based club obliging Gunners to offer Ozil to Real Madrid on the agreed terms before accepting a bid from another club.
Mesut Ozil is yet to extend his contract with the Gunners and even Arsenal manager Wenger confessed that deal to tie down the German International is not close.
German international has arrived to Arsenal in 2013 for a record fee of around €42 million.
