Barcelona plan to use hotshot Cristian Tello as a bargaining chip in their attempt to sign either Jordi Alba or Adrian Lopez, El Mundo Deportivo reveals.
The club officials have already started working on summer reinforcements and the current squad appear to be set for a minor overhaul.
While Seydou Keita, Adriano Correia and Ibrahim Afellay look set to leave at the end of the season, the Catalans are eager to sign Valencia full-back Jordi Alba and Atletico Madrid forward Adrian Lopez.
With both players valued at around €15 million, El Mundo Deportivo believes Barcelona will use Cristian Tello as a bargaining chip in negotiations for one of the two players.
The 20-year-old forward has been showing a lot of potential this season and has even scored 3 goals in 13 La Liga appearances, but he is still not ready to challenge for a starting berth.
Tello also has just over a year left on his deal at Camp Nou, which is one of the reasons why Barca officials could decide to cash in on the player in the summer transfer window.
The good news is that both Valencia and Atletico Madrid hold the player in high regard, meaning that the Catalans will try to include Tello in the deal taking either Adrian Lopez or Jordi Alba to Camp Nou.
