Barcelona tracking Tottenham duo

According to Catalan newspaper Sport Barcelona have been following the progress of Tottenham duo Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez and even sent Sporting Director Robert Fernandez to the Bernabeu last night to watch Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.

Barcelona have been interested in Sanchez for a while and considered snapping up the former Ajax defender before he made the switch to North London in the summer. Their interest has likely been enhanced by the Colombian’s impressive start to his Tottenham career and resolute performance against a menacing Real Madrid strike force.

Christian Eriksen meanwhile is reportedly being lined up as a potential alternative to Philippe Coutinho if the Catalan giants fail to prise the Brazilian away from Anfield. The Danish midfielder has been one of Tottenham’s most consistent performers over the past few seasons and has already racked up three goals and two assists in this Premier League season so far.

Sport also suggest that Dele Alli is on Barca’s radar, though the England international missed the clash with Real Madrid through suspension.
