Barcelona want Guardiola?

According to a recent report from AS, Barcelona president Joan Laporta believes he can persuade Pep Guardiola to return to the club.

Guardiola, who spent many successful years at the Nou Camp, could be in line for a stunning comeback – if Laporta gets his way, that is.

Pep is set for one of the biggest games of his managerial career this evening as he attempts to guide Manchester City to their first ever Champions League title. If he can pull it off, it’ll undoubtedly be his greatest accomplishment – regardless of whether or not you think money is the one and only reason why he’s been able to do it.

Guardiola is no fool and he understands this game better than most, but a return to Barca certainly feels like it’d be a risk. After all, he was so successful there that he runs the risk of tarnishing his great reputation.
