Barcelona are interested in signing Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City in the summer transfer window, according to El Gol Digital. It has been reported that the Spanish and European giants are looking for a defensive midfielder as a long-term successor to Sergio Busquets, and after looking at Chelsea star N’Golo Kante, they have decided on Ndidi.
The report has claimed that Barcelona believe that they can get Ndidi for half the price of Kante. The 24-year-old Leicester star has progressed a lot in recent years and has now established himself as one of the better defensive midfielders in the Premier League.
Leicester are doing extremely well in the Premier League at the moment and could end up in the top four. If Brendan Rodgers’s side get to play in the Champions League next season, then they will not be forced into selling Ndidi, although playing for Barcelona would be very tempting for the Nigeria international.
