Barcelona want Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara

Barcelona are interested in signing Thiago Alcantara from Liverpool in the summer of 2021, according to El Gol Digital. The report has claimed interest from the Spanish and European giants in Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore as well.

Thiago joined Liverpool from German powerhouse Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020. Much was expected of the 29-year-old central midfielder when he arrived at Anfield, but he suffered a long-term injury during the Merseyside derby against Everton in October 2020 and was on the sidelines for several weeks.

According to WhoScored, Thiago has made 11 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League and has played 72 minutes in the Champions League for Liverpool so far this season. The Spain international central midfielder came through the Barcelona youth system and played for the first team before moving to Bayern in 2013. The midfielder won the Bundesliga seven times and the Champions League once during his time at Bayern.
