Barcelona want Mandzukic?

According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Mario Mandzukic has been linked with a move to Barcelona as a potential deputy for Luis Suarez. That role in itself seems pretty strange, considering the fact that Suarez himself has been heavily linked with a move away from the Nou Camp.

Mandzukic was previously thought to be on the verge of joining Premier League side Manchester United earlier on in the summer transfer window, but it never quite came to fruition.

Barcelona look set to be quite busy in the remaining days of the window, as they attempt to try and bolster their squad prior to what is bound to be an incredibly exciting race for the La Liga title with Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid respectively.

Mandzukic is edging towards the final few years of his playing career at the top level of European football, but even with that being the case, he’s still an incredibly useful goalscorer to have on your books.
