Barcelona are interested in signing Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina, according to Italian newspaper La Nazione.
Milenkovic arrived to Florence from Partizan Belgrade in 2017 for €5 million, but his stock has risen immensely over the two seasons since. Towards the end of last year he was heavily linked with Manchester United, until the Red Devils decided to sack Jose Mourinho and replace him with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The 22-year-old has 16 senior international caps with Serbia under his belt so far, and one goal to his name for his country.
The central defender has been an important part of the Fiorentina team for a long time, and it is believed that Fiorentina are set to demand a large amount of money in exchange for his services as they seek to raise the funds for the upcoming transfer window. However, the Catalan club’s admiration for the player goes a long way and they aren’t daunted by the prospect of paying up in order to secure his quality for themselves.
