Barcelona are are getting anxious about their pursuit of Rodrigo Moreno, and they are trying to force Valencia into giving an answer today (Tuesday), according to Marca.
The Catalans are keen to secure a replacement and potentially a long-term successor for Luis Suarez, with the 33-year-old Uruguay international expected to be out for several months. To that end, they have decided to push hard for Rodrigo, who has been their preferred option for the role for quite some time. Other possibilities included Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Timo Werner of RB Leipzig and several other attacking players.
Apparently, Barcelona’s plan is to sign the 28-year-old on loan for the rest of the season with an option to buy in the summer. The reason for their hurry now is that they want to have enough time to at least try an pursue an alternative target before the window closes on Friday, in case Valencia refuse to do business.
Rodrigo has been at Valencia for four and a half years now. This season he has four goals and 10 assists to his name in 23 appearances in all competitions.
