Barcelona want to keep Cancelo and Felix

Barcelona are keen on retaining the services of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix past this summer, according to Sport. The two Portugal internationals currently play for the Catalan club on loan from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, respectively, and their loans both expire at the end of the season.

Apparently, Barcelona are prepared to offer a fee ranging between €15 and 20 million for Cancelo, and they believe another loan from Atletico would be the best option for Felix.

Cancelo is under contract with City until the summer of 2027, and it remains to be seen if Barca’s proposed offer would be enough to make his switch from the Etihad to the Camp Nou permanent, though the reports claiming the 29-year-old right-back isn’t in the plans of City boss Pep Guardiola should work in their favour.

Felix, the 24-year-old forward, has played for Barcelona 30 times this season so far, scoring eight goals and producing five assists. Meanwhile, Cancelo has created four and scored three in 29 matches across all competitions.
