Barcelona have no intention whatsoever of selling teenage sensation Ansu Fati, according to a recent report from Sport.
The belief is that Juventus are interested in signing the 17-year-old prospect in a potential part-exchange deal that would see Miralem Pjanic make his way over to the Nou Camp. Barca have made it fairly crystal clear that he isn’t going to be sold or featured in any kind of deal, but it doesn’t seem as if that’s prevented Juve from testing the waters anyway.
It’s safe to say that there’s going to be an awful lot of pressure on the shoulders of Fati to perform once he eventually breaks into Barca’s first team on a regular basis, but for the time being, given the uncertainty of the summer transfer window, you would think their priorities would lie elsewhere in what is an increasingly uncertain market.
Either way, it’s going to be interesting to see whether or not the Italian champions back off.
