Barcelona want to sign Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic

Barcelona are interested in signing Nemanja Matic from Manchester United in the summer of 2022, according to The Sun. It has been reported by the British tabloid that Spanish and European giants Barcelona have asked to be kept updated on the situation of the 33-year-old.

Matic is under contract at United until the summer of 2023 and earns £140,000 per week as salary at Old Trafford. Barcelona believe that they could sign the Serbian midfielder for less than £10 million in the summer of 2022.

The former Chelsea defensive midfielder is struggling for playing time at United at the moment and is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup. Matic has made three starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League, and has played only 36 minutes in the Champions League for the Red Devils so far this campaign.
