According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are said to be one of the many top European clubs that are interested in signing Toulouse defender Jean-Clair Todibo. The teenage sensation, who will turn 19 this Sunday, has been tipped to be the next Raphael Varane – which is the kind of praise that is going to make clubs around Europe sit up and take notice.
Manchester United, Napoli, Juventus and Real Madrid are all believed to be in the running, but Barca are viewed as the primary contenders. Todibo’s contract is set to expire in June which means they could get him relatively cheap, although Toulouse will likely do all that they can in order to bring in some big money for him.
Todibo turned professional back in 2017 and ever since then, he has been able to establish himself as a hot prospect in an incredibly short space of time. He also has a handful of appearances for the France under-20s, signalling the kind of star power that he already possesses.
