Barcelona wants Man Utd midfielder

Spanish giants Barcelona are considering a summer move for Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, Sport has suggested.

The Catalans plan to shake up their midfield options in the summer, but the problem is they don’t have a lot of money to spend.

Barcelona officials aim to recruit a technically skilled midfielder who can also cover a lot of ground and they seem to have found their man in Ander Herrera.

This is the player soon-to-be new head coach Ernesto Valverde knows all too well as the pair worked together at Athletic Bilbao, while the 27-year-old also has a contract that is due to expire in June 2018.

And while Manchester United are eager to keep hold of their star player, they may have no choice but to sell if he opts against extending his current deal.

Barcelona have been keeping close tabs on Herrera for several years now, and they finally look set to make their move.
