Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Paris Saint-Germain stars Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuidi, reports El Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalans have watched the two midfielders on several occasions this season and they continue to monitor their development.
With star midfielders Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta not getting any younger, Barcelona officials seem to be planning to add some fresh blood to the centre of the park.
And while the Italian starlet has a long-term contract at Parc des Princes, Blaise Matuidi’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season, meaning he can be signed for a nominal fee in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old has already been linked with Napoli, Chelsea and few more high-profile clubs, whereas Marco Verratti has a long list of suitors in Italian Serie A.
Barcelona currently sit one point clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid in the La Liga standings, with the Catalans 3/10 for the league title.
