Spanish champions Barcelona are hot on the trail of Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalans have seriously rejuvenated the squad in the summer by signing Andre Gomes, Samuel Umtiti, Paco Alcacer, Lucas Digne, Denis Suarez and Jasper Cillessen, spending a total of €120 million in the process.
And seeing that no important areas will need strengthening next summer, Barcelona could decide to spend a similar amount on just one footballer.
Mundo Deportivo claims that the Catalans plan to step up their interest in Juventus hotshot Paulo Dybala next summer, and the Argentine could become the world’s most expensive footballer if he does move to Camp Nou.
The 22-year-old, who is a big fan of Lionel Messi, impressed to score 19 league goals in his debut season in Turin, and he is widely regarded one of world’s most talented forwards.
Dybala didn’t have such a good start to the new season, but Barcelona officials, nonetheless, seem to believe he can develop into a world-class footballer.
