Juventus are keen to take Arthur Melo from Barcelona in exchange for Miralem Pjanic, but according to Marca, Arthur doesn’t want to leave Camp Nou and the La Liga champions will not force him to do so.
A few weeks ago, the midfielder expressed his desire to continue playing for Barcelona, and head coach Quique Setien feels he fits his vision of the team perfectly, despite his stint with the club so far being riddled with injuries.
Apparently, in case the two clubs reach an agreement that involves him, Barcelona would present to the 23-year-old and give the last word on the matter to him. And if he still refuses to go, they will allow him to stay.
The Catalans would rather part ways with the likes of Arturo Vidal or Ivan Rakitic anyway, as the two players in their thirties each cost twice as much as Arthur in wages.
