Everton manager Roberto Martinez has warned his Premier League counterparts that Ross Barkley will not be sold this month, according to the Express.
Title rivals Manchester City and Chelsea are both keen to sign the England international, with a fee of £45m being banded around though Martinez is standing firm.
The 21 year old has made fifty-three appearances in all competitions since the former Wigan Athletic boss took charge at Goodison Park, scoring eight goals.
His fine form last season saw him be selected for Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad last June, where he won his ninth of ten caps for his country.
The Toffees have struggled to reproduce the league form that saw them finish in the top five last season, and are currently on a run of four straight defeats.
They turn their attention to the third round of the FA Cup tomorrow with the visit of West Ham United.
