Ross Barkley has been told he must sign a new contract at Goodison Park by the end of the season if he is to remain at Everton, according to the Telegraph.
The England international has had a fine season with the Toffee’s, who still have an outside chance of finishing in the top four of the Premier League.
A number of Everton’s rivals will be keeping an eye on the twenty-three year old’s situation with his contract set to expire in fifteen months though manager Ronald Koeman is keen to secure his services, with a new £100,000-per-week deal on the table.
Barkley has racked up one hundred and seventy-three appearances for the Merseyside club one hundred and seventy-three times, scoring twenty-six goals while he has twenty-two caps for England.
Everton host Burnley on Saturday afternoon and Barkley can be backed at a price of 7/1 to get the first goal of the game.
