(GSM) – Galatasaray remain near the top of the Turkish Super Lig table following a 3-1 win over Istanbul BB in Sunday’s city derby.
Czech attacker Milan Baros put Galatasaray in the lead after just five minutes, and went on to convert a penalty kick eight minutes later.
With four minutes to go in the first half, Baros added a third to complete his hat-trick.
Istanbul pulled one back through Herve Tum in the 66th minute but Galatasaray held on to their advantage to secure their fourth victory in a row.
Galatasaray are now in third place, three points behind leaders Bursaspor. The latter have a game in hand.
