Or shall we say by fire?
The German international Bastian Schweinsteiger showed class in his very first appearance in the MLS, helping Chicago Fire to a 2-2 draw against Montreal Impact.
The World Cup winner and former Manchester United midfielder made an instant impact to his new squad making key tackles and recoveries in his defensive responsibilities, while at the same time providing his teammates with pinpoint precise passes and through balls which were unfortunately left unused in the end.
Schweinsteiger also had a couple of goal scoring opportunities, using one of them to mark his MLS debut with a goal, much to the excitement of his wife Ana Ivanovic who was watching from the stands.
