English daily newspaper The Telegraph has suggested that Manchester United reject Bastian Schweinsteiger is keen on moving to the United States.
The German footballer rejected offers from numerous European clubs in the summer and he has since spent most of the time outside of the first team squad.
It appears that Schweinsteiger has finally decided to leave Old Trafford as he is considering the possibility of moving to Major League Soccer.
According to The Telegraph, the player’s representatives are currently in talks with Chicago Fire chiefs.
What is more, the MLS side head coach Veljko Paunovic, Schweinsteiger wife’s compatriot, met with the midfielder in Hale, Cheshire, last Friday, and he seems to have persuaded the former Germany star to accept the offer from the MLS.
Manchester United are unlikely to stand in the player’s way as they are desperate to get rid of one of the highest earners at the club.
