According to France Football, Monaco are interested in bringing Michy Batshuayi to Ligue 1. If the deal goes through then the Belgian forward would be the second Chelsea player to make the jump over after Cesc Fabregas, who is on the verge of completing his deal. At the age of 21, Batshuayi has already bounced around a series of clubs – and while he’s scored some important goals along the way, he hasn’t really been consistent in front of goal.
In the last year he’s been on two loan spells with Borussia Dortmund and Valencia, the first of which was very successful. Some would argue that he’s a more effective player on the international stage, too, and there’s certainly evidence to back that up.
Chelsea are having their own issues right now when it comes to finding a consistent goalscorer for their first team, but at this moment in time, it doesn’t appear as if Michy fits into that criteria.
