Argentine midfielder Sebastian Battaglia has committed his future to Boca Juniors by signing a new three year contract with the club.  The 29 year old had not played for Boca in the last six months because of a knee injury, but is now fit and is taking part in pre-season training.

Battaglia holds the record for most titles won as a Boca Juniors player- 16 in all. He is tied with another club legend Guillermo Barros Schelotto, who now plies his trade in the MLS with Colombus Crew.

Battaglia has been with Boca for all his football career barring a brief 18 month stint with Spanish club Villareal.
