Bayer Leverkusen are interested in signing Aleix Garcia from Girona in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has noted that Barcelona showed interest in Garcia in the January transfer window, and now German club Bayer are keen on securing the services of the 26-year-old defensive midfielder.
Garcia has been on the books of Girona since 2021 and has established himself as one of the best players for the club. The Spain international has scored three goals and given six assists in 33 La Liga matches this season. The defensive midfielder scored one goal and provided five assists in 26 starts and four substitute appearances in La Liga last season.
Bayer have already won the Bundesliga title this season and have not lost a single game in any competition this campaign. As for Girona, they are now second in the La Liga table with 74 points from 34 matches and have qualified for the UEFA Champions League next season.
