Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen have emerged as favourites to sign Brazilian centre-back Dante from Bayern Munich, according to Bild.
The Bavarians are ready to sell the experienced centre-back for €9 million and it looks as though they will have no shortage of offers for the 31-year-old.
Bild has suggested that Bayer Leverkusen are ready to submit an official offer due to the serious defensive crisis, but they could face stiff competition from other interested sides.
Namely, Everton and Borussia M’gladbach are keen on the Brazilian as well, although it is important to note that the Toffees are set to sign Ramiro Funes Mori and die Fohlen have recruited Nico Schulz from Hertha Berlin.
Dante, who has a contract until June 2017 at Allianz Arena, is no longer in the first team plans of coach Pep Guardiola, who plans to use Javi Martinez and Holger Badstuber as a cover for his starting centre-back pairing of Mehdi Benatia and Jerome Boateng.
