Le Parisien has learned that Bayer Leverkusen are hot on the trail of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.
The German shot-stopper hasn’t quite managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter at Parc des Princes, and if the Saints decide to recruit a new keeper in the summer transfer window, he is likely to leave.
According to Le Parisien, Bayer Leverkusen are prepared to offer Trapp an escape route from Paris, as they expect Bernd Leno to leave the club.
Latest reports suggest that Wolfsburg are ready to challenge die Werkself for the player’s signature, with offers in the region of €10m-€12m being mooted.
Having performed admirably during his stay with Eintracht Frankfurt, Trapp is still held in high regard by top Bundesliga sides, and a return to Germany could be on the cards.
