According to a recent report from Sky Germany, Bayer Leverkusen are still in talks to sign Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac.
The 27-year-old is still eager to make his return to Germany where he was born, due to family reasons. He had previously been linked with a move to his former club Schalke but that is no longer possible – even on loan – due to their financial situation.
Kolasinac has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates and at this moment in time, it doesn’t seem as if he’s going to become a consistent first teamer again any time soon.
Mikel Arteta knows that he has a deep squad right now and while that’s a good problem to have, even the Spaniard knows that he needs to get rid of a few players before the transfer window closes.
Leverkusen want to get this over the finish line and they don’t have long left to do it.
