Bayer Leverkusen set Havertz deadline

According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Bayer Leverkusen have informed Chelsea that they would like a deal for Kai Havertz to be signed, sealed and delivered by August 28th.

The deadline marks the club’s return to training in preparation for the new Bundesliga campaign, as they continue to recover following their stint in the UEFA Europa League’s latter stages.

Leverkusen are not willing to give the Blues a discount on the player, and they are sticking to their guns by asking for £90 million.

Chelsea don’t exactly come across as a club that are short on money following their recent dealings in the summer transfer window, and we all know that this is a deal they’ve been pushing for throughout the last few months.

Transfers like this always seem to be dragged out until the last possible second, but now, Chelsea have a date they need to start working towards.
