According to a recent report from Sky Germany, Bayer Leverkusen are interested in trying to sign Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac.
The 27-year-old has entered into the final few years of his contract with the Gunners, but it is believed that he is very interested in returning to Germany due to family reasons. Schalke are also in the mix but probably wouldn’t be able to keep up on the financial side of things.
Kolasinac was once considered to be an important member at the heart of Arsenal’s defence, but it really doesn’t seem as if that’s the case anymore. Mikel Arteta is pushing forward with a new squad and an entirely new direction, and Sead isn’t going to be playing a role in that – or, so it seems.
Leverkusen clearly recognise his potential from a defensive standpoint but whether or not he can live up to the hype is another matter altogether.
