Turin-based daily newspaper Tuttosport has suggested that Bayern Munich and Manchester City are locked in the battle for Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci.
The Bavarians boss Pep Guardiola, who will soon take over the reigns at Etihad Stadium, recently admitted he was a big fan of the Italy international, and the latest reports claim he wants him to join the Citizens in the summer transfer window.
But, Guardiola’s current club Bayern Munich are also keen on the highly rated defender, with new coach Carlo Ancelotti holding the experienced centre-back in high regard.
Juventus chiefs will obviously do everything in their power to keep hold of the 28-year-old footballer, but they may find it hard to resist big money offers for his services.
Besides his impressive defensive showings, Bonucci is a genuine asset when going forward, having not only scored quite a few important goals but also provided countless useful passes for his attackers, so no wonder he is still regarded a key member for both club and country.
