Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has praised arch rivals Bayern Munich after they secured the Bundesliga title on Saturday.

And Klopp went as far as to suggest the Bavarians club can go on to make history this season.

Counterpart Jupp Heynckes oversaw the Bavarians’ success via a commanding 20-point lead over runners-up Dortmund, while they are still in the running for the Champions League and DFB-Pokal trophies.

And Klopp has pulled out all the stops in acknowledging his opponents’ accomplishments, going as far as to say they stand to enjoy the best club campaign of all-time.

“They have done everything right this time,” he told reporters.

“That’s an incredible season Bayern have enjoyed, and it could yet become the most incredible one in the history of football.

“Congratulations with all my heart. Hopefully next year, we can lower the distance a little.”

Bastian Schweinsteiger’s backheeled goal against Frankfurt proved enough to help Bayern win their 23rd league title, with six rounds to spare.
